Cricut Enjoy the Seasons Fall Birthday Card

Today I made a card using just my Cricut Imagine machine and the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge. One of my good friends is having a birthday and I wanted to make her something Fall themed. I used brown cardstock for the card base and printed the rest of the paper with the Imagine. I cut the adorable squirrel and the leaves using the layer feature and finished off with a leaf brad and glitter glue. I rounded the corners and inked the edges of the paper.

I popped everything up using foam tape.

I decorated the inside with more layers and leaves and acorns. I used My Pink Stamper stamps for the inside sentiments. I enjoyed making this card and really should use my Imagine more. I have so many cartridges that I haven't even used yet. My goal is definitely to start using all my stuff!!

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Halloween Chic & Scary Witch

I made this Halloween card using the Cricut Chic & Scary cartridge. I have been trying the pedestal card fold and like the way it turned out. I used purple cardstock and paper from DCWV "The Midnight Spell" stack. The stamps are from My Pink Stamper's "Spooky Puns".

I popped the witch and sentiment up with foam tape. I found the sparkly purple ribbon in the Fall craft section at Walmart for a dollar.  I added the shiny black buttons for that finishing touch. The papers look so much much better in person. I am so happy to be visiting blogs and crafting again. So much talent out there and I just love it! I am hoping to have time to do Halloween goody bags for the neighbors and carpool kids and to work on some Fall stuff too.

I am going to enter this in the following challenges:

Yellow Submarine Card/ Birthday Celebration

Using Cricut Life's A Beach and other cartridges I made a 5"x7" Yellow Submarine card for my
son's 11th birthday. It was a great day with family & friends swimming, BBQing, cupcakes and presents. I had to cut many periscopes to mimic the Beatles Yellow Submarine and I paper pieced
the layers to get the different colors. I used the Animal Kingdom cartridge for the dog and cat heads.
I custom decorated them to look like our cat Jack and dog Minnie. I used Paper Dolls for the boy head and hair and Peachy Keen face stamps to look like my little guy (I guess not so little anymore!) and Groovy Times for the rainbow. I would have done more to the card if I wasn't in such a hurry with all the party preparations.

I used one of those awesome action wobbles I bought from The Scrapbooking Queen.
 They are the coolest!

I added another rainbow and music notes to the inside of the card.

I found this awesome Yellow Submarine ice cube tray and made some submarine candies!

I then used them to decorate my famous chocolate-chocolate-chip cupcakes that my friends and family love and ask for all the time. I used the rainbow sour tape for the rainbow. I've seen pics all over pinterest with the rainbow cupcakes and thought that it would add just the right touch.

I decorated the house with rainbow streamers and these Beatle's cards that I used for the invitations. as well as more Yellow Submarine cuts. It was a fun day and my son was very happy!

I will be entering my card into the "Anything Goes" challenge on the Action Wobble website.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Oh Happy Day Birthday Card

Hello! Here's a birthday card I made for my lovely Aunt who loves little piggies.

I used Cricut Create a Critter for the little piggy (uh oh, I can't remember if it was 1 or 2) and propped him up with foam tape. The card is from the Wild Card Cartridge and I used different sparkly papers from DCWV. I pop dotted the sparkly balloon and added rhinestones for more bling.

It's been a while since I've been on my blog. Lot's of terrible things happened after we lost our dog Mickey and we tried to find him back in February.  Can you believe we were threatened, vandalized and pranked over and over again over our lost dog flyers. We never got him back and we have since moved from that horrible neighborhood into a brand new house and location. My heart will forever be broken from the loss of my dear sweet Mickey. Things are looking up and I am almost done putting my craftroom back together. Hopefully I will be crafting more and visiting all my favorite bloggers. I have missed it so much!
I will be entering this into the cardztv challenge pop it up or make it wiggle:

Thanks for looking!

Penguin Birthday Invitations

I made these invitations for a celebration of my daughter's 13th birthday. At 13 she asked to "hang out" with her friends. So we decided to invite 12 girls to the movies, Shakey's pizza and then to our house for a slumber party. This will all be happening on Saturday so I have lots of prep for all those teenagers coming over!!
I chose the invitation card from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge and cut it at 4 1/2" so 2 would fit on a 12"x12" sheet of white paper. I used my Imagine so I could fill the cuts with the cartridge paper and have them all matching. I found the cuts from Imagine More Cards and chose the colored papers from that cartridge as well. I used my gypsy to remove the face cuts from the penguin in the Create a Critter cartridge and used the Happy Lashes Peachy Keen stamps for the faces. I stickled the scarf and added some purple and white twine for the balloon string.

This is the backside and shows how it opens. I used the computer to type out the invite and attached it to the liner that goes in with the corner cuts that the invitation cut makes on the Wild Card cartridge.

This is how they looked front and back! I made 13 of these and it went pretty quick using the Imagine. I'm not a pro with my Imagine and have yet to try my gypsy with it but I am happy that I decided to use it! My dog is still lost and I have not been crafting like I would like. It feels like losing a family member to me. I am so sad. Please say a prayer for my lost dog and that he is safe and comes home soon.

I will enter these cards into the Fantabulous Cricut blogs "Spring is in the Air" Challenge

We miss you Mickey!

Penguin Birthday Card

I made my daughter a penguin Birthday card using the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge. It was a very special birthday because she turned 13! I can't believe I am a mother to a teenager. I had so many plans but with our dog still lost we have been spending every spare moment looking for him. We will not give up but it has been such a sad and worrisome time. This card is very simple but she loves penguins and purple so at least I got that right!

I will enter this card in the Cardz Tv "Make a Wish" Challenge

My lost dog Mickey

My little baby Mickey has been lost for 2 weeks. I am so sad and worried. We had a cold rainy snow storm on Tuesday and my husband and I cried knowing Mickey was out in it and there was nothing we could do. We have been searching day and night and he is being seen but will only run away. He is so scared and lost. I pray everyday that he comes home or someone calls me from all the flyers we have posted so I can go get him. But no one calls...they just chase him away or call long after he is gone. We are so exhausted and need a lucky break to bring our little guy home. He is our family. I won't give up. I miss him so much :(

Teddy Bear Parade Valentines

Today is Valentine's Day and it was a hard day to craft. My dog has been lost for almost a week and I have been spending every extra minute trying to find him. My family is so heartbroken. I needed to get my mind off of the situation and felt like my kids needed me to focus on them so I decided to make a few cards.

I used the Teddy Bear Parade, Artiste, and Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridges. I saw this Elegant Edges cut on Mary's Cards TV video and knew I had to try it. I had ordered the K.Andrews Moustache stamps a while back and had this idea about using it with the bears. My daughter is in middle school and moustaches are all the rave! My younger son just loves to dress up and use the fake moustaches. I cut the cards from Elegant Edges at 3" and the bears at 2". I also used the heart from the Teddy Bear cartridge as well. I got the moustache from the Artiste cartridge and cut them at 1/4".

I will enter these in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you could spare a prayer that my lost doggie comes home I would sure appreciate it.

Wild Card Heart Cards

I made some cards using the Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. I found this cut with a heart and thought it would work nicely for Valentine's Day.

I used a Studio G stamp that fit perfectly in the porthole and the small heart cuts are from the Doodlecharms cartridge. The red & white twine, that I love, is from the One Spot at Target of all places. It is the nice and thick and rich in color. It is better than my AC twine. I cut it at 5 1/2 inches and it will fit in an A2 envelope. But I did make the matching envelopes for fun. I stickled the hearts for sparkle.

I mixed and matched paper and tried ribbons along with heart bling on this one. I stickled and added some rich red glitter around the sentiment.  These are perfect for the Cardztv Color Challenge of only using Red, Black and White. Wouldn't it be awesome if I won! I love Mary's blog and watch all her videos. I would just love to win her stamps!

I tried buttons and some embossed silver metallic paper on this one. I went for a Stampendous birthday stamp seeings how you can never have too many birthday cards in your stash.

This one is my favorite. It is the same as the 1st one but I used some sparkly metallic paper for the big heart. I think this contrast worked the best.

So there you have it! A few cards for now.

Elf Teddy Thank You Cards

I used my Cricut Teddy Bear Parade cartridge that I just got to make these fun Teddy elf thank you cards.

I also used the Elegant Edges for the oblong frame. This cartridge is so useful! I am in love with my Teddy Bear cartridge and can't wait to make a zillion bears. I had so much fun decorating him. I added the jingle bell from Joann's to his hat and little white buttons to his trousers. The sparkly candy cane is a sticker from Jolee's Boutique. The paper are from a DCWV stack and I hand cut the tag and added a snowflake brad. I used foam squares to pop him up along with the sentiment and my Cuttlebug to add snow texture.

I decorated the inside by cutting another frame from Elegant Edges and inking it all up. So now I have a batch of teddy thank you's to add to my Penguin ones.  I am going to put this card in the "Anything Goes" Challenge at www.littlescrappieces.blogspot.com
I love that blog and they have some great designers.

Penguin Thank You Cards

I used the penguin from the Cricut Create a Critter 2 and a cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge  to make these cute thank you cards.

I used  the polka dot paper from the K&Company Mod Holiday designer pad and the sparkly teal is from a DCWV glitter paper stack. I handcut the sentiment tag and inked all around topping it off with a snowflake brad.  I flocked the hat and added a pompom  from Joann's. I used my cuttlebug to add a little texture  to look like snow and popped the penguin and sentiment up with foam squares. I added some paper to decorate the inside and I just love how these came out.

I decided to be a sane relaxed person over the holidays and didn't send out cards. At least I will have some cute thank yous to give out to special friends and family! I am thinking about entering a blog challenge. I've never done that so I will try to figure it out and hopefully it works:)
Yay it worked! I participated in the Monday challenge Frosty Days at one of my favorite blogs My Craft Spot! The designers on that blog are amazing.
