Here is what I made..

I chose to make a card using the colors for inspiration. The blues made me think of the sky. I thought it would be fun to make a card using the stamps and dies from The Sky Is The Limit set. I didn't use my Cricut at all for this one. I hand cut all the layers, used a corner punch, and the CDD stitched cloud and kite dies. I went with the kraft card stock base to represent the cake in the inspiration photo.

I embossed the white layer with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to show through the negative cloud die cutouts. I stamped the kite on some Doodlebug paper and paper pieced it. I hand cut the pink chevron banner and used a sentiment from the Garden Cuties stamp set. I added the crinkle ribbon bow to make it pop and finally embellished with some blue sequins from the CDD Emerald Island sequin mix.

This is definitely not my typical style of card. No Cricut and no critters haha!! But I've been trying to step outside my comfort zone a bit.  I hope you like it!

My First Pocket Letter!

Hello friends! Have you heard about the latest Pocket Letter craze?? Well my sister sent me one and invited me to join an event she hosted through Pocket Letter Pals. The theme was "Happiness Is A Warm Puppy" How could I resist being the Peanuts fanatic that I am?! So I was partnered up and I sent one and received one. It's like penpals only better. You create something fun and receive a creation in return. 

I made a video to tell you all about Pocket Letters and to share my PL with you. I hope you like it!!

As you can see I used a lot of SVG's, Cricut Cartridges, and my Craftin Desert Divas goodies!!I made 2 of these Snoopy svgs myself!!

It was so thick from the shakers that I only folded the bottom third up. Then I wrapped it up like this and stuck it in a mailer envelope.

Here is what I made..

I made a shaker card with this cute little hippo holding an ice cream cone from the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge. The stitched layers are from the new Fancy Frames dies. The patterned paper is from a Doodlebug Designs paper pad called Sugar Shoppe that is also available for purchase in the CDD shop. I made the grass using the Outdoor Landscape Dies. The shaker window I made with a voice bubble from the George cartridge.

I filled it up with a mixture of True Love and Dew Drops Sequins. I love those little
rainbow hearts! The sentiment is from the Garden Cuties stamp set.

CDD Mini Release Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to the CDD Mini Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop.

Today I created two projects to share with you...

My first project is a shaker card using the crayon stamp. I used a few different CDD sequin mixes to make a rainbow mix. I colored the crayon with my Spectrum Noir markers. The layers are made with the new Fancy Frames Dies.

The happy little stars are from the So Long stamp set.

For my second project I made a backpack shaped card. I made the card base in DS using the Doodlecharms cartridge. I chose a paper that looked like Denim.

I popped up the pockets and tucked in the school supplies. I hand cut a little tag and stamped "you rule" on it. I added metallic silver zippers to both pockets.

Lastly I added the adorably nerdy little worm. I put on a pretty little bow from the Bitty Blessing stamps and glittered it up. I added glossy accents to her glasses and stamped the sweet sentiment on the pocket.

You Color Me Happy Sneak Peek

Today is Day 2 of the Sneak Peeks for the Craftin Desert Diva's Mini Release on facebook. Today we are showcasing a new stamp and die set called Beyond Measure. There is an svg freebie and you can join in on the fun starting at the Craftin Desert Divas fb page HERE

This is what I made...

I love this new school set! My artistic experience as a child all started with a crayon so I knew I wanted to use this stamp! I stamped the crayon 4 times on water colored paper and colored them in with my new Zig markers. I love this sentiment and masked off to have each word be a different color.

I used the new stitched Fancy Frames dies for the layers. This adorable paper is from the Doodlebug Designs back to school pad and is available for purchase in the CDD Shop.

Finally I embellished with some CDD sequins from different mixes to match each crayon.  I hope you like it!!
