Yoda Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends!! Boy what a busy week! Today I am sharing the card I made for my hubby's birthday. We are all Star Wars fans in my family and eagerly anticipating the new movie coming out in a few months. I thought I would use that theme for hubby's card.

I chose the all wise Yoda. I cut him out and paper pieced him with my Cricut and the card measures about  5.25 inches square. I decided to make it shaped so I welded the shadow to give the front right side some more interest. I added some glossy accents to his eyes to make them shiny. I computer printed the sentiment and hand cut the little banner and added some silver brads.

 

For the inside I printed this sentiment that I saw on a Star Wars meme. And there you have it! Nice and simple and trying to be masculine haha! Hubby did love it yay!!

Here's what I've created for you...

I made this A2 trifold shaped card using one of the scarecrows and the crow from Autumn Wishes and the adorable corn from the Farmer's Market stamps. The card base I made in DS with the Cricut Old West cartridge for the fence and the cornstalk from Just Because Cards. 

When you flip the fence back you can see that I used the stitched Outdoor Landscape Dies for the background layers.   I colored all the images using my Spectrum Noir markers.  I used my Cricut for the banner and stamped a sentiment from the CDD Hey Pumpkin stamps.

 On the inside I used the CDD Fancy Frames Dies for the inside layers and stamped the sentiment, pumpkins, and leaves from Autumn Wishes and the Farmer's Market stamps. 

And finally I embellished with a sprinkle of the Emerald Isle Sequins.  I hope you like my card and enjoyed the hop!!

Here's what I've created for you...

I made this coffee shaped card using the bear stamp image from the Got Coffee stamps. The card base I made in DS with the Cricut Love You A Latte cartridge. I used some  printed corrugated paper from DCWV for the middle section. I embossed the lid and added some burlap thread. I handcut a banner and stamped it with a sentiment from the CDD Sending Love set.  

I love this sentiment!! I colored up this cutie pie bear with my Spectrum Noir markers. I used the heart from the CDD Wildly Cute stamps and the stitched oval is from the CDD Banner Dies.

I also stamped the inside and added that awesome coffee cup stain! I know exactly who I am sending this card to! I hope you all like it!

Craftin Desert Divas August Release Sneak Peek Day 4

Today is Day 4 and the final day of the Craftin Desert Divas August release sneak peeks on facebook. Today we are featuring the Monster Mania stamps and Party Dies. You can join us and see all the fabulous projects HERE.

Here is what I created...

I made this door shaped card in Design Space using the Frightful Affair Cricut cartridge. I decorated it with the new stitched banner dies from the new Party Dies set. 

I used sequins from the Corn Maze mix and Emerald Isle sequins.

I colored up my favorite monster from this set and added glossy accents to his eye. I gave him a stitched balloon to hold from the Party Dies set.

For the inside I colored up another monster and added this awesome sentiment! I hope you like my card!

My Craftin Desert Divas Day 2 & 3 Sneak Peek projects

Hello crafty friends! This week is release week at Craftin Desert Divas and we are having sneak peeks all week on facebook. Here is what I made for my sneak peek yesterday:

I absolutely adore this new Got Coffee stamp set!! I made my own background paper by stamping and embossing the coffee cups in white. I then used the coffee stain stamp and water colored over it to look like a spill. 

I colored up the sweet little mouse and cup with my Spectrum Noirs. I added the heart stamp from the Wildly Cute set to the little mug. The sentiment went on perfectly on my little hand cut banner and I finally embellished with some brown square sequins from the new Autumn Sequin mix.

For today's sneak peek of the new stamp set called Farmer's Market I made this little card:

Oh my gosh let me tell you that this set is SO fun and cute!! I stamped all the little corns in the barrel by masking off and used the cute cute cute little faces in this set to bring it all to life.  The crow is from the Autumn Wishes stamps.  I used the Fancy Frames dies for the card layers.  Isn't that just the cutest sentiment??

I finished off my card with this straw bow and a sprinkle of the new Corn Maze sequins mix. I hope you like my cards!
