Father's Day Bookmarks

Hello crafty friends! Today is Inspiration Monday over on the La-La Land Crafts blog and we are sharing more projects featuring the new release. I decided to create a project featuring the new Tie Die. The supplies I used are listed and linked below :)

Just in time for Father's Day, I created a batch of bookmarks. These came together sooooo easy using the Bookmark Die. I cut two ties each either in patterned paper or colored cardstock. I trimmed the top and glued it to double up the top of the tie to add an extra layer for dimension. I glued the ties to the tops of the bookmarks about a half inch from the top. For the collar, I cut two more ties in the card stock I used for the bookmarks. I trimmed the bottom points off and discarded them. I then adhered the trimmed ties to the colored ties at an angle and trimmed off the excess that was hanging over the edges of the bookmark. Easy peasy!! I chose a selection of patterned papers and colored cardstocks to represent realistic shirts and mixed and matched them. 

I found coordinating ribbon in my stash and stamped and embossed the sentiments. I hope you like my project today and are inspired to try making some bookmarks of your own! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day :)

La-La Land Crafts May Release- Turtely Awesome

Hi crafty friends! It is release week at La-La Land Crafts and I am sharing a card featuring the Turtely Awesome Clear Stamp Set. I listed the colors I used and the supplies are listed and linked below.

I colored up the adorable images using Copic markers and fussy cut them out. To create the background I ink blended some cardstock with Distress Oxide inks and cut out the strips using the Seaside Die. I arranged the layers leaving white space between and glued them down. I glued the layer to an A6 sized card base and popped up the images with double sided foam tape. I also inked the sun using Distress Inks and stamped the sentiment onto the cloud die.

La-La Land Crafts May Release- Graduation Marci

Hi crafty friends! It is release week over at La-La Land Crafts and today I have a card to share featuring the new Graduation Marci Rubber Stamp. I listed all the colors and the supplies are listed and linked below. 

I love how this A6 sized card turned out!  First I colored the image using Copic markers and fussy cut her out. I ink blended a purple ombre' background using Distress Inks. Next I used Deco Foil Transfer Gel with the Rain and Shine Stencil and hot foiled the background layer using holographic gold foil. There was a bit of overfoiling but in person it looks super sparkly!! I added a scalloped die cut layer of gold star paper from the Christmas Cheer Paper Pack. I also ink blended some cardstock with the same inks and die cut the Celebrate word out. I added the background shadow layer in vellum to help the sentiment die stand out more. It's hard to see in the pic but I also added sparkle marker to the word.

La-La Land Crafts May Release- Nailed It Stamps

Hi crafty friends! It is release week at La-La Land Crafts and today I have a card showcasing the new Nailed It Clear Stamp Set, Toolbox Die and Tools Die. This stamp set is perfect for your "Dad" themed cards! I listed the colors and the supplies are all linked below.

I created a slimline 3.5"x 8.5" card. First I cut a panel slightly less than the card base and used the Inverted Scallops Square Die to cut out the three openings. I used the patterned paper to back the windows and stamped and embossed the sentiment in the middle. I colored the image using Copic markers.

The tools are soooo cool! It's hard to see in the pic but I cut them out using silver and red metallic cardstock.

Newton's Nook Designs & Therm O Web Collaboration

 

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to use Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Here is what I created:

For my first card I created a beach scene. The Kitten Beach stamped images were colored with Copic markers and cut out with coordinating dies. To create the background I hot foiled the TOW Sprinkled Stripes toner sheets with the beautiful Lapis Watercolor Deco foil and ink blending over it with Distress Oxide inks.

For the second card I colored the adorable mouse from the Garden Mice stamps using Copic markers. I cut out the scalloped oval from the Oval Frames Dies and stamped the sentiment with Versamark and hot foiled with Gold deco foil.

To create the background, first I hot foiled using the Summer Rainbow foil onto the Spring Fling toner card front. Using Distress Inks and water along with the "smoosh" technique I created the watercolored background. For a finishing touch I added some sparkly gemstones. 

For the third card I stamped and embossed the Orchid stamp and cut it out using the coordinating die set. The oval was cut from the Oval Frames Die. I colored the image using Copic markers. The oval was lightly inked with Distress Oxide ink and the sentiment was also stamped and heat embossed using gold embossing powder. 

The background layer was hot foiled with Gold deco foil onto the Baby Swiss Dots toner sheets and cut using the Fames & Flags Die. For a finishing touch I added some sparkly pink gemstones.
