Sending Birthday Fishes Aquarium Box Card

Hello friends! Today I am sharing with you an aquarium style 3D box card and my very first you tube video.

I'm not going to lie here...this was a complete headache. I ran into the problem of old technology not wanting to play nice with new technology so I had to salvage my footage with an older video program. I learned a lot and for my next tutorial I will be using a better program and it should be so much easier. It is kind of long but I know that you will enjoy making one of these cards! They are so cool and I am thrilled with how it turned out!!!

This card was inspired by my friend Eunice at A Star For Chiemi blog. She made a box card for her dad with a couple Nemo fishes and I just had to make one of my own. I designed my card in Design Space but I am also working on making it into an SVG. The Cricut cuts are from the Life Is A Beach cartridge. I used the Craftin Desert Diva's Under The Sea stamps, the little crab from Crabby and the star from Wish Upon A Star.

Beary Sweet Thanks

Hello friends!! Today is the last day of the weekend sale at Craftin Desert Divas!! I hope you are able to take advantage of this great deal!

Today I have a set of thank you cards to share. I had to use my favorite stamps....Panda Pals again!! I love these sweet panda stamps and dies!!

The bamboo is from the Cricut Pagoda cartridge. I embossed the white paper with a bamboo Cuttlebug folder. I have been trying to make gender neutral cards so that I can give them to guys or girls. I don't know... could you give this to a guy???? There is absolutely no bling on it, lol!

The sentiments are from the Panda Pals and Simply Said sets.

Hi! Miss You, Love Ya

Hello friends!! Are you ready to celebrate this weekend? Have you heard about the SALE that starts today and goes through the weekend at the Craftin Desert Diva's Shop? It doesn't get better than this!! WOO HOO I love a great sale!! Time to stock up!!

Today I have a card to share using the adorable Panda Pals stamps and dies. I'm still working on gender neutral card styles.... I was thinking of my Aunt and Uncle who moved far away to Texas.... I miss them so much and I thought I'd make a card to say hi. The sentiments in this set work perfect for word bubbles.

I cut out all the squares and rectangles with my Cricut Explore. Those cute stitched squares are from the Simply Sweet Cartridge. The paper is from K & Company. I adore these pandas and think they are the CUTEST panda stamps around!! And how convenient that they have coordinating dies?!!!

I can't choose a favorite! I love each of these little guys!

So Deer To My Heart

Hello friends! Today is Throwback Thursday on The Craftin Desert Divas blog and I am sharing a project using an older CDD stamp set. I chose this little deer from the Deer Friends set. This is one of may absolute favorite of all the CDD stamps. I colored it with some water color pencils. I used the stitched oval die from the Banner Dies and added a scalloped border.

The sentiment is from the Punny stamps and I thought it went perfectly with the papers, heart embossing and this image. All the cuts are from my various cartridges on Design Space. Sorry I can't remember which ones I used. I added this burlap bow and a little heart shaped clear rhinestone to finish it off.

Here's what I've created for you today...

I made a shaker card using the mini stamp sets Crabby and Wish Upon A Star. I also used the Outdoor Landscape dies for the card design. The sentiment is from the Panda Pals stamps. I filled my shaker with the Mermaid Lagoon Sequins and sealed them with my Fuse tool. I splattered some blue and yellow watered die ink across the front. I wanted this card to be unisex. I am challenged when it comes to making masculine cards. It seems that when I focus on creating projects suitable for both male and female it is a little bit easier and I do a little bit better.

Next I made another shaker card using the Wanna Hug and Wish Upon A Star mini sets! I just love these little jellies so much!! The coral and sentiment is from the Under the Sea stamps. I also used the wave die from the Outdoor Landscape Dies for the entire background of my card. I inked it up and put it together like a puzzle.

I used the Mermaid Lagoon sequins again for the shaker. I added some glossy accents to the coral and starfish.

My last card I made using the Panda Pals. As much as I LOVE the sea themed stamps this release... I am totally loving these pandas even more!!

I used my Cricut Simply Sweet cartridge to cut out the stitched squares. I used the Outdoor Landscape dies for the background hill. I stamped, colored and cut out the pandas & bamboo with the coordinating dies. I thought this would be a great card for my daughter to give to one of her school friends.

The sentiment is from an older set called Deer Friends and worked perfectly for my card. I added a little sparkle to the bamboo and this cute stitched black ribbon and was done.
