Thinking of You Shaker Card

Hi crafty friends! I today I have a shaker card to share featuring lovely stamps, dies and paper from Newton's Nook Designs. All the supplies I used are listed below.

This card features the Spring Bloom Ovals stamp set and the Oval Frames Die Set. First I stamped and embossed the floral frame using white embossing powder. Then I colored the image using Copic markers. I fussy cut the center out to create an opening for the shaker.

I chose a patterned paper from the Spring Blooms Paper Pad for the background. I stamped the sentiment in the center of a oval die cut and filled the shaker with a variety of clear and purple sequins.

There's Gnome-one Like You!

Hello crafty friends! I have a card to share that I created for the Newton's Nook Designs' blog. I created a spring themed card featuring a few different stamp sets.

First, I grabbed this little gnome with the flower from the Gnome Garden stamps. I colored him up and cut him out using the coordinating Gnome Garden Dies. I'm always drawn to the Bitty Bunnies stamps and decided to add this little fluffy bunny to the card to sniff the little flower. For the background I ink blended some greens and blues. I decided to add a layer of grass using the Land Borders Die Set. 

 I cut out the background using the large scallop die from the Frames & Flags Die Set to layer on my A2 sized card base. To create a garden, I stamped and colored some florals from the Bleeding Heart Stamps and Tulips Stamp and cut them out using their coordinating dies. I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Gnome Garden stamps and added some silver splatter in the sky and gold splatter on the grass. To add a little dimension, I popped up both the gnome and bunny using some foam tape.

La-La Land Crafts April Release

Hi crafty friends! It is release week at La-La Land crafts and I have created a card featuring the new In Bloom Clear Stamps, the Open Daisy Die and A Good Day Clear Stamps. All the products are available in the shop and the links to the supplies and the colors I used are listed below.

To create the background I stamped and heat embossed the large floral stamp with white embossing powder. I used Distress Oxide inks to create a bright and cheerful ombre of color. The adorable bear is from the A Good Day Stamps and I colored him and the bee using Copic markers. I also cut the Open Daisy Die out and colored it using Copic markers as well. To create the frame I used the Inverted Scallops Square Die and stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Honey Bear Clear Stamps. For a finishing touch I added some sparkly gems.

La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Monday 3D

Hi crafty friends! Today is Monday Inspiration over on the La-La Land Crafts blog and the theme this week is "3D". I decided to create a treat box using the Large Bird House die.

I created a simple 1 inch deep box and attached the bird house panels to each side. I double layered the roof and base border using white and blue cardstock.The bird was stamped using various blue inks and cut out using the coordinating die. 

I created the handle using the Build-A-Frame Stitched Large Die and attached it using brads so the handle could swing to the side and you can fill the box with yummy treats or a gift card. The sentiment is from the Oh Crop stamp set.

Newton's Nook Designs March Release Day 3

Hi crafty friends! Today is Day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs March Release and we have two new stamps and coordinating dies to share. All the new product will be available in the shop tomorrow 3/17. Here is what I created:

I stamped and colored the adorable new images in the Newton's Blooms stamp and die cut them using the coordinating dies. I cut the new Oval Frames Die Set scalloped oval and stamped the image. I added a soft ink blended background.

The butterfly paper is from the new Springtime 6x6 paper pad and I thought it would look so cute behind the adorable kittens in the pot.

For my last card I stamped and colored the new Tulips stamps three times and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I colored them like the tulips that I had in my backyard garden as a child. I also colored up the adorable sleeping kitten from the Newton's Antics stamp set.  I added a soft ink blended background of sky and grass and then stamped and embossed the sentiment.

Newton's Nook Designs March Release Day 2

Hi crafty friends! Today is Day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs March Release and we have two new stamps with coordinating dies and a stencil to reveal! all the new products will be available for purchase on 17th. Here is what I created: 

I stamped and colored the images from the new Welcome New Cat stamps and cut them out using the coordinating dies. What a perfect set for your cat loving friend or for someone who just got a new kitten. I used the new Petite Pawprints stencil to dry emboss the white card stock layer. I just love the subtle texture this adds to the card. I also used the new Oval Frames Die to cut the rounded scallop along the bottom edge. Peeking along the bottom is patterned papers from the new 6"x6" Springtime Paper Pad.

My second card features the new Welcome New Dog stamp and die. I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies. To create the background I cut out a scalloped rectangle from the Frames & Flags Die and ink blended the background using the Clouds Stencil. 

I added ink blended grass with splatter die cut using the Land Borders Die across the bottom and ran it through the scalloped rectangle die as well. For a finishing touch I added a butterfly from the Daffodils Stamp set.

Newton's Nook Designs March Release Day 1

 Hi crafty friends! It is Day 1 of the Newton's Nook Designs March Release and I'm so excited to share my project with you! Today we are featuring a new  4"x8" size stamp set called Best Mom Oval as well as a new Oval Frames Die Set that coordinates! There is also a new Spring themed paper pad! All the new products will be available in the shop on Thursday, March 17th. Here is what I created:

I created an A2 sized top folding card. I stamped and embossed the Best Mom Oval and sentiment stamp using gold embossing powder and colored the florals and leaves using Copic markers. I cut it out using the new Oval Frames Die Set. For the background layer I dry embossed white card stock using the Basket Weave stencil. It gives it a nice and subtle texture without taking away from the stamp design. 

I added the purple vellum butterfly die cut using the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die set and added some gold embossing powder for the body and antennae. For a finishing touch I added some sparkly gemstones.

Happy Spring

Hi everyone! I've got a card today to share featuring a Spring Fever Theme over at the La-La Land Crafts blog.  I created this card using the Oh Crop stamp set. 

I stamped, embossed and colored up the adorable bunny using Copics. This bunny is normally holding a egg but I trimmed out a little bit to make her hold the flowers instead :) I also used Copics to color in the grass and flowers. 

 I used distress inks to blend the background and stamped and embossed the sentiment. I also trimmed out a layer using the Spring Has Sprung Paper Pack. The cloud die added a nice touch to the sky. For finishing touches I added some Nuvo drops to the center of the flowers.
