Shelbi's Sweet 16th Birthday

Happy Happy Birthday to my beautiful little girl who is not so little anymore! Wow, how time flies! Sixteen years old and it seems like just yesterday she was playing princess and singing all the Disney songs. I couldn't be more proud of the amazing and inspiring young lady she has become!

Today I am sharing a card I made with all her favorites: pink, kitties, and strawberries!

The card base is an A6 which measures 4.5 x 6.25 inches. I do like this size better than an A2 for a birthday card. The bowl of strawberries is from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. The kitty is a free SVG I got for participating in a hop at SVG Cutting Files. I doodled her eyelashes and added glossy accents to her nose. The stitched layers are all dies from Craftin Desert Divas. I stamped and embossed the Sweet sentiment from the Sweet Kisses stamps.

I wanted to try and capture all the sparkle on this card.

Thanks for hopping by today!

Have a blessed day!

Kawaii Invitations For My Daughter's Sweet 16 Dinner

Hello my crafty friends! Today I am sharing some invitations I made for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday party. I just can't believe it! How does time go by so fast?? She wants a dinner to one of our favorite Japanese Restaurants called Gyu Kaku. So I made some kawaii invitations for her to give to her friends.

The card base is from the Cricut Creative Everyday Cards cartridge and measures 6.25" x 4.5". The  wood grain layer is a print and cut from the Greeting Cards Inside and Out cartridge. I added a burgandy layer. I thought this color combo was perfect. The sushi is from SVG Cutting Files. The ramen is from the Pagoda cartidge. I made the sushi platter using basic shapes from DS, The Kanji character says Friend. The sentiment is from the CDD Simply Said stamps.

Here they are all finished.

Monster Love

Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing a card I made for my son.

I used this cutie pie one eyed monster from the Craftin Desert Divas Monster Mania stamps. I colored him up with my Spectrum Noir markers. I splattered my background with some Distress Inks and water. I used my CDD Pocket Pieces Hi Dies to cut out the hearts with the metallic red paper I used for my bottom layer.

The top stitched layer is from the CDD Fancy Frames. I added some red sparkle to the heart in the sentiment.

TCBJ Birthday Hop featuring Craftin Desert Divas!

Hello my crafty friends!! Happy Valentine's Day!! Today is Day 2 of the Too Cute By Jessica Birthday Hop featuring Craftin Desert Divas on facebook. There are new Digi stamps at CDD and new svgs at TCBJ along with a great SALE and FREEBIES!! You can join in on all the fun and it starts HERE.

These are the projects I made for the celebration!!

I made a trio of shaker tags using the CDD Tag Essentials Dies. The balloons are the new Kawaii Birthday Balloons digi stamp. I colored them up with my Spectrum Noirs and I also inked that cloud background. It took a few times to get that right. It was my first time trying that technique! I filled the shakers with the Hearts sequins. The banner is cut from my Cricut When I Was A Kid cartridge and the sentiment from the CDD Happy Celebrations stamps.

Here is a closeup. It is hard to see in this picture but the balloons are very sparkly!

Next I used the new TCBJ Kawaii Birthday Cake svg to make a couple more tags.

I LOVE anything kawaii and these images are SO cute!! I made a tag base using the svg by welding it in Design Space and cut it at 4 inches. I cut the layers using Doodlebug papers. The bow is from the Cricut Leather Bow. I did modify it a bit to pull in tighter through the middle. I glittered the bows and frosting all up using Wink of Stella and Stickles.

Yellow cake and of course I had to do chocolate!! I doodled and chalked their sweet cheeks!

Here are the CDD products I used:

Kawaii Balloons & Party Hat Digi stamps
Happy Celebrations
Blue Heart Sequins
Fuschia Heart Sequins

Green Heart Sequins

Darth Vader Lego Mini Figure Birthday Card

Hello my friends!! Today I am sharing a card I made for my daughter's friend's birthday today. He is a huge Star Wars fan and so I thought I would dig through my files and see what I had to accommodate!

I love to collect files and this Star Wars Darth Vader Lego mini figure is one of many fabulous files I got for participating in a Hop at SVG Cutting Files. This is not a file that can be bought or given away. It is given only that day for participation.

Digging through my paper I found this sparkly black from a DCWV stack and I thought it looked very galactic! I didn't want a lot of layers or fluff since it is for a teenage boy. I thought the simpler the better. I cut out the moon and backed it with sparkly white cardstock.

The presents are from the Cricut Something to Celebrate cartridge. I inked and doodled with a sparkly silver marker to decorate the presents. I used a Craftin Desert Divas die for the banner and printed out this punny sentiment. I added twine to make the moon look like a balloon.

I printed the inside sentiment as well. I hope you think this card is as fun as I do!!

Thanks so much for hoppin by!!

Have a blessed day!
