Newton's Nook Designs You're Fangtastic!

Hi crafty friends! I created a Halloween card for the Newton's Nook blog today featuring a couple of my favorites! The supplies and links to the shop are below :)

One of my favorite stamp sets is the Count Newton set. I stamped and colored up this orange cutie and the pumpkin using Copic markers and cut him out using the coordinating dies. The bats were stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder for extra shine. To create the background I used the Distress Oxide inks in shades of purples and blacks. I then used the Spiderweb Stencil and white pigment ink over the top. It looks so cool! I cut out the layer using the rectangle die from the Frames & Flags Die Set.

I am loving the new patterned papers and the bats were from the Halloween Woofs Paper Pad. For a finishing touch I added some purple gems in the web.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day :)

Here is what I created:

I created a spooky slimline card featuring several new die sets. To create the background I used the new Slimline Spiderweb Cover Plate Die and glued it over an ink blended panel measuring 8.5"x 3.5". Next I die cut the new Slimline Staircase Pop Up Die out of black cardstock and glued two gates that I trimmed down from the Spooky Halloween Cemetery Gate Dies.

I cut out the animals and glued them to the front and top of the gates. I also cut the tombstones from the A7 Witch On the Hill Cover Plate Die and added them to the stair case for that middle layer of the pop up.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the new Witch's Brew stamp set. For a finishing touch I added red gemstones to the spiders in the web. I hope you like my card. Here is more info on the hop:

Newton's Nook Designs August Release Day 4

Hello friends! It is time for another fabulous release from Newton's Nook Designs! Today is Day 4 of the reveals and there are two new stamps with coordinating dies.

My first card features the new Harvest Haul stamps and coordinating dies. I stamped and colored the truck using Copic markers. I cut out a panel from the Frames & Flags Die Set and lightly inked it to create a background for the truck.

I chose my favorite pattern from the new Autumn Paper Pad. For a finishing touch I added some gold bling and embellished with the leaves.

The second card I created features the new Newton's Crate stamps and coordinating dies. First I stamped and colored this adorable image using Copic markers. To create the background I used Distress Oxide inks and the new Jack-o'-lantern layering stencil minus the faces to create a Fall themed panel covered in pumpkins.

To help little Newton stand out I glued the stamped image to a circle die cut from the Circle Frames Die set and trimmed off the edge. Here is a look at the new products that I used:

Newton's Nook Designs August Release Day 3

Hello friends! It is time for another fabulous release from Newton's Nook Designs! Today is Day 3 of the reveals and we are featuring Fall projects with the new Autumn Paper Pad and Autumn Oval Stamp set. Here is what I created:

I stamped the image and heat embossed using gold embossing powder. I love how gold embossing looks!! I colored the pumpkin image using Copic markers. I love how the stamped ovals look with the Oval Frames Dies. To create the background layer I dry embossed the white layer using the Falling Leaves Stencil. It's hard to photograph but running a stencil through your die cut machine gives subtle texture and looks fabulous!

The new Autumn paper pad is gorgeous! I picked out a gingham pattern to add a strip on the background. For a finishing touch I added some gold bling :)

Newton's Nook Designs August Release Day 2

Hello friends! It is time for another fabulous release from Newton's Nook Designs! Today is Day 2 of the reveals and there are two new Halloween themed stamp sets! My first card features the new Halloween Pile stamps, coordinating dies and the Jack o' lantern Stencil set. I think this set may be my favorite of all but it is just so hard to choose!

I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies. To create the background I used the new Jack o' lantern layering stencil with Distress Oxide Inks. I then added some gold splatter to the stenciled background. I cut an oval from the Oval Frames Die and lightly ink blended it. This layer helped the adorable image to stand out from the background. Finally, I embossed and fussy cut the sentiment. It think it turned out so cute!

For my second card I stamped the new 4"x8" Spiderweb Oval stamp and cut it out using the Oval Frames Die set. I ink blended just inside the oval using masking technique. To create the card background I simple used the new Halloween Woofs Paper Pad. The new designer papers make creating so easy!!

To finish off the card I added an image from the new Franken Newton stamps and embellished with some sparkly purple bling.

I hope you like the Halloween themed cards I created! Here are the new products that I used:

Newton's Nook Designs Have a Mice Day!

Hello crafty friends! I have a birthday shaker card to share today featuring these adorable mice from the new Birthday Mice stamps. All the supplies I used are listed and linked below :)

I stamped and colored up these adorable mice using Copic markers and die cut it out with the coordinating dies. To create the shaker window I used the Circle Frames Die. I popped up the outer layer using double sided adhesive foam tape and filled the window with some sparkly sequins.

It's hard to see in the picture but the back layer is a coordinating teal colored cardstock. To back the shaker window I used the sprinkle patterned paper from the new Birthday Party Paper Pad. For a finishing touch I added some sequins on the top layer.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great day :)
