Heffy Doodle and Newton's Nook Designs Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Newton's Nook Designs Collaboration Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!
Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies! Make sure to scroll all the way down to learn how you can win.

For my project I created a slimline card featuring one of my favorite kitties from Newton's Nook Designs Smitten Kittens and the super fun Heffy Doodles Tree-mendous Peekaboo Tree Dies. I stamped and colored up all the images using Copic markers. I cut the kitty out using the Smitten Kittens Die set. The flowers and butterflies were colored and cut out using the NND Gnome Garden stamps and coordinating dies.

The adorable little squirrels are from the Heffy Doodle Nuts About You Stamps. I love the optional little peekaboo cutout in the tree die! I inked the trunk and the leaves using Distress Inks. I also painted some lines across the trunk for added texture. Next, I tucked one of the little squirrels inside. The grass was cut using the NND Land Borders Die Set and also inked with Distress Inks.

To create the sky I used the NND Clouds Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks. The tree stump and the little owl are from the HD Hootiful Stamp Set. For added dimension I popped up the owl and one of the butterflies using adhesive foam tape. To finish off the card I stamped and embossed the Sending Smiles sentiment from the NND Heartfelt Blooms stamps.

To be entered to win the giveaway, all you need to do is comment at each stop along the Blog Hop!

Newton's Nook Designs will be giving away $35 and Heffy Doodle will be giving away £25 to their respective stores!  Be sure to comment before 11:59 PM EST on Dec 28th to be entered to win!

Each company will post their random winner on Dec 29th at 10AM EST!  Make sure to check the Heffy Doodle Blog and Newton's Nook Designs Blog to see if you’re a winner!

Wishing You Peace, Love & Joy

Hey there crafty friends! I am sharing this Christmas card today over on the Newton's Nook Designs blog. It features the adorable Deer Friend stamps.

I absolutely love the variety of critters at Newton's Nook and the deer are just the cutest! I stamped, embossed and colored them up using Copic markers. I die cut the trees using the Forest Scene Builder dies and colored them using Copic markers as well. The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Holidays stamps and I embossed it using white embossing powder.

To create the background I ink blended with Distress Oxide inks. I used texture paste and the Petite Snowfall Stencil for the snow. I hope you like my card. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day :)

BRI Sending Smiles Across the Miles

Hi crafty friends! Today I am participating in an INSTAGRAM HOP! We are “Sending Smiles Across the Miles” to celebrate and show support to our dear friend Vanessa, the hardworking owner of Butterfly Reflections Ink @butterflyreflectionsink. We wanted to send cheer and well wishes her way, to remind her that even though her Design Team is spread all across the world, our BRI family is here for her.

I created a pink butterfly themed card for Vanessa using one of my favorites from Newton's Nook Designs. You can find this stamp and coordinating die in the shop. I inkblended the background using Distress Oxide Inks. The image was heat embossed with sparkly gold embossing powder. I added a bit of color using pink Copic markers and cut out the image using the Heart Frames Die.

I stamped and embosse the sentiment and added some sparkly gemstones for a finishing touch. I hope Vanessa likes the card when she receives it in the mail.

For my second set of bookmarks I stamped, embossed and colored the images using Copic markers. Using some coordinating colors I ink blended the backgrounds using Distress Oxide Inks. I also stamped and embossed the sentiments and added some ribbon from my stash.

I think these bookmarks are so cute and I just can't wait to create more of them!
