Roses Thank You Cards

 Hello and happy Monday! Today I have a couple cards I made over the weekend. I finally found some time to get crafty and I wanted to play with my Cricut. With so many roses in bloom this Spring I was inspired to try making this card from the Anna's Lovely Layered Cards cartridge.

This particular card is featured on the cartridge cover and of course it is what caught my eye and convinced me to purchase it. The tall version is 6.25" tall and will fit perfectly in an A6 envelope. The square one I cut at 5". I used Recollections cardstock from Michaels for all the layers. Although that is not the thickest cardstock, it made for a VERY thick card. I don't recommend using cardstock for all the layers. Scrapbook paper will probably work best. I'm going to try a couple more cards and see how it compares. 

This vellum stitched banner die is from My Creative Time Ribbon End Dies and I stamped and embossed the sentiment from MCT So Grateful For You stamps with silver embossing powder.

This vellum banner is from My Favorite Things Blueprints 27 Dies and the sentiment is from K. Andrew Designs Amazing You. I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush Pen over the medium pink cardstock. I finished both cards off with a ribbon.

Black & White with a pop of color

Hey there crafty friends! Today I have another card to share! I made this for a fun challenge happening over at Paper Smooches. I love their stamps and I'm lucky enough to have a few sets. I was so happy to use this adorable pup from the Chubby Chums set.

The challenge is to use "Black & White with a Pop of Color" and you can find it here. So how did I do? I think it turned out pretty cute! First I started with an A6 card base (4.5"x 6.25") I prefer the bigger sizes for birthday cards. The patterned paper is from a pack of Darice Premium papers I've had forever. I used my new Gina Marie Designs dies for the layers. The celebrate sentiment if from the Paper Smooches Salutations stamps and the banner is from My Creative Time Ribbon End Dies. The tiny bird and bow are from the Paper Smooches Chilly Chums set.

I stamped and embossed the images and sentiment. I colored up these cuties with my Copic markers. I hope you like it!!

My Very First Flower Card Ever!

Hello friends! I am back after taking a few weeks off! It has been a wonderful month and I am enjoying the Spring weather. All the roses in my yard are in full bloom and they look gorgeous! I was inspired to make my very first flower card! I usually stick to critters but I think my flower card turned out ok so I may just have to try out some more of my floral stamps!

I've had this stamp set forever. It is from CTMH and is called Floral Happiness. First I stamped the roses using Altenew's Shades of Purple inks. I embellished the roses by adding a darker layer with my Copic markers V06 and V25 and some sparkle with my Wink Of Stella. The leaves were stamped with my CTMH inks. The embossing folder I used is from Anna Griffin and is called Jolie Lace.

The cross stitch and label dies are made by Gina Marie Designs. I stamped and embossed the sentiment from Paper Smooches Salutations stamps. Finally I embellished with some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh that my sweet friend Jenny 

sent me.
