Hello friends!! Today I have a couple things including a different type of project to share with you! I'm really excited about this because I tried something new and out of my comfort zone!! My next door neighbor is having her first baby and it is a girl!! She asked me about baby shower wreaths and wondered if I knew where she could get one that didn't cost a fortune. I did some research and thought, "I can make that!" Well I gave it my best shot and it turned out to be a huge hit at the baby shower!
Her nursery is safari themed with tan and brown accents. She liked the burlap look so I decided to give it a try. The wreath materials are all from Michaels. I chose to use the 5.5 inch rolls of the burlap mesh and double layer each loop. The wreath turned out larger than I expected which is a good thing because our doors are so big!! The wreath frame I believe was 18 inches and the final wreath was about 24".
The little stuffed giraffe and elephant are 5 inch Gund baby rattles. I ordered them both on Amazon because the few shops I went to I couldn't find small safari animals. I made bows by layering some chocolate colored 4 inch burlap with the pink and white polka dot ribbon. The flowers came premade and attached to a clothespin. I hot glued them to the center. The sparkly little butterflies are attached to alligator clips and I just stuck them on and around the wreath. I bought the baby shoes at Marshall's for $5 and hot glued them together and to a clothespin, then clipped them on.
The burlap chevron bow was so much easier than I thought it would be. They were selling them premade at Michaels and so I took pics and copied one to make my own. All in all I am thrilled that this turned out the way it did. I learned some new things and I'm ready to make another one. However this was not cheap!!! I think I paid more on supplies than the completed wreaths on Etsy cost. Most of the materials were regular priced items and Michaels only let's you use one coupon. So in the future I will be watching for sales and buying supplies with coupons little by little so I don't end up spending another small fortune, lol! My neighbor did appreciate this gift and I was happy to do it for her! It was a lot of fun!!!
Of course I had to buy some baby clothes too, lol! So after wrapping the box, I made a bow with the leftover ribbon and then made a gift tag.
The tag is an svg and stamp from the Craftin Desert Diva's Tag It stamp set.
This came together so quickly! I added some ribbon to the tag base, hand cut out a heart from some pink burlap. I then stamped and colored this little baby from the CDD Bitty Blessings stamp set. The sentiment is from the Sugar and Spice Set. I stamped onto this wavy banner that I got on Design Space. I added a little sparkle and bling to the bow and it was done.

This is really very beautiful and golden color is adding a charm to it. My cousin is planning to arrange a superb gala bridal shower for her best friend. Hunting for garden spaced and glooming venue NYC for fresh scenic atmosphere. Also a sea located one will do. Sweet providers and bakers will be tried and tested stores opted for my baby shower few months back.
