You Rock Drummer Birthday Card

Hello everyone! My son is turning 14! Yikes!
Where did all the time go?! He has been playing drums for the past few years and is in advanced band in Junior High. Now he will soon play in the High School band coming up in August when he starts his Freshman year. I made him this card for his birthday on Monday.

The card base is 4.5" x 6.0". I watercolored some splatters using my Barn Door distress inks and Zig markers. I also sprayed metallic silver drops over the finished background. I cut out my layer with a cross stitched die from Gina Marie designs and added a layer of red foil card stock.

The drum is from my Indie Days Cricut cartridge. I cut the layers out with metallic card stock. This kind of looks like my son's Ringo Ludwig drum set.

The You Rock sentiment is from the Stamping Cricut Cartridge. I tried to make it fun, yet cool,  masculine and not too little boyish.... I hope he likes it!

I will participate in the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday: Anything Goes
PDE Linky Party: Anything Goes
DL.ART May Linky: Anything Goes
Seize the Birthday: Dimension or Anything Goes

Thanks so much for hopping by!
