Hello my crafty friends! Today we have another challenge at
Exploring Cricut and More. The theme for this weeks challenge is "Back to School". This summer has certainly flown by and my kids go back to school this Thursday. I know, how crazy is it to start school on a Thursday, right? Who comes up with this stuff? I miss the traditional schedule where you start school the Tuesday after Labor Day. But I guess one good thing about my kids being back in school is that my house will stay cleaner! Anyway, on to my project....
Today I have a 3D project. I made this high top sneaker for my daughter who will be starting High School this week! This file is from SVG Cuts.
Isn't it the cutest? This file came together nicely. There is a learning curve for 3D projects and I have been intimidated by them. But I am getting braver at trying new things and I am so happy I gave this a shot! I had some issues with using glue (it was a bit messy at first) but it did get easier as I went along. It's not perfect but I am very happy with how it turned out.
I used paper from a K and Company stack called Poppy Seeds. The print has some swirly birds on it and it so cute! I used metallic silver cardstock for the eyelets, white ribbon for the shoelaces, and purple ribbon for the sides of the sole. I thought this would be perfect to put my daughter's new pens, pencils, and highlighters in. Her favorite shoes to wear are Converse high tops which is why I bought this file.
Hope you like my shoe! Make sure you check out all the other fabulous projects from the DT at Exploring Cricut and More and we hope you will join in on the challenge. I look forward to seeing your projects!
I will participate in the following challenges:
