Paper Pups Quilted Birthday Card

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Hope you are enjoying this very hot and summery week! I'm in SoCal and it is VERY hot! Yesterday was a wopping 104 degrees and today will be around 100 degrees! Just in time to get me ready for visiting Las Vegas this coming weekend. Can't wait for a getaway!

Today I have another Paper Pups card. I cut this butterfly dog out at 2.25". Using scraps I punched a bunch of squares with my Creative Memories punch and glued them on cardstock. Using my center point feature I cut out the top note shape and layer. I ran it through my Cuttlebug.

I handcut the banner and stamped it with a My Pink Stamper stamp.  I added rhinestones and a bow.

The butterflies are stickers. I popped everything up with foam tape. I also decorated the inside.

I just love pups! Here is one of my pups Bruno! Isn't he cute!

I hope you like my card and enjoy the rest of this week!

Sympathy Card using Paper Pups

Hello my crafty friends! I am so excited to be a Guest Diva for Die Cuttin' Diva's, one of my favorite blogs!! With such a talented and inspirational Design Team I feel honored to be a part of this weeks challenge. The theme is Anything Goes and I am sharing a card I made for a dear friend. She just lost her dog to cancer and of course it has been a rough time for her and her family. I made her this card to try and cheer her up.

This pup is from my Paper Pups cartridge and I cut him at 4.0".  Her dog was a big cutie and looked very similar to this one. I used some black pearls for his eyes and glossy accents for his nose. I added the red tongue instead of leaving it brown.  The papers are from the DCWV Pet Stack. I cut the shaped card using my Art Philosophy cartridge at 5.25".

I used 2 different stamp sets for the sentiments.  "Always in our hearts" is from My Pink Stamper and the inside sentiment is from My Creative Time Stamps.  I fussy cut some hearts and added them to the front and inside.

Be sure to checkout all the fabulous projects made by the DT team and link up your own project to the Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge Blog!

I used this adorable free owl file from Treasure Box Designs.
I started with a 7.25" x 4.75" card. The size of the owl in the box is 5.75" and
is the size it imported into my SCAL. I used a Christmas paper pack by Recollections.

I used my Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland folder to emboss the
white cardstock.  The crinkle ribbon is from Little Scrap Pieces.
The sentiment stamp is from K.Andrew's Designs. I tried
to keep my card as flat as possible because I know this card
will be mailed.

And how about some blog candy? Who doesn't love that right?
I am giving away some Christmas stickers, photo mats and tags from CM.
I used to be a consultant and would love to share my stash.

Happy Reindeer Card- Christmas in July

Hello all my crafty friends! Can you believe we are almost at the end of July?! Where in the world has the time gone? My kids go back to school in less than 3 weeks, yikes! Which means I go back to teaching at the college in less than 4 weeks! I have been fortunate enough to find time to make a few cards but have yet to tackle my scrapbooking goal. I have been mostly working on organizing my craft room and will soon take some pics or who knows maybe even start making videos. I recently joined the Close To My Heart family and have been on the fence whether to stick it out and promote my business or let it go. I am very new to CTMH and after receiving my starter kit I was impressed from the get go! I really love their stuff! However, I just moved this past year and don't know anyone in my area so it has been a struggle for me to begin. After much time spent researching and learning about the product I have finally decided I want to give this a try and if you are interested in CTMH products feel free to click on my "Shop With Me" button to the right and it will take you to my website. Take a look at the wonderful papers and stamp supplies and I hope you will love them like I do!

And now for my project....

Today I have a Christmas card! I know....but it is "Christmas in July" right?  My card is 7.25" x 4.75". This is the size of a store bought greeting card. My Mom has a friend that worked at a Card store in the mall, I believe it was Carlton Cards. Well, sadly it went out of business and she gave my mom boxes and I mean BOXES of envelopes, and so now I have hundreds!!!  And since I personally don't like to have anything go to waste (No, I am not a hoarder....well maybe a bit of a paper hoarder, hee hee, but what scrap addict doesn't have hoards of paper right?)... so I am determined to use these envelopes AND it saves me the task of making my own :)

I used both my Create a Critter and Create a Critter 2 Cartridges for the reindeer and cut them at 3.0". I used a Christmas paper pack from Recollections for all the coordinating papers. I used a metallic shimmer paper for the reindeer's noses and bows.  The sentiment stamp is from Joy's Life and the bling is also from Recollections.

FYI to my fellow Cricut users: I recently placed an order at Cricut.com and purchased the new blade. I don't own the Explore (yet) but I have 3 Cricut machines. I am very happy with this new blade. My Expression and Imagine sadly never cut to the precision of my baby Cricut. My baby Cricut has more "metal parts" where my bigger Cricuts have more "plastic parts" and my baby always cuts better. My Expression has never cut textured cardstock well. Sometimes even shredding it no matter what speed settings or pressure I used. My Expression with this new blade cuts through the textured cardstock just fine! I've had to reduce both the pressure and the blade depth with this new blade because it cuts differently. This is my personal experience and as a Cricut crafter I highly recommend it to those of you who don't have the Explore (yet)!

Hope you will join us here tomorrow for our Christmas in July projects, challenge, and Blog Hop!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you liked my card and will come back and visit again soon! Have a blessed day :)

Spotlight Sunday for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!

Hello my crafty friends! I really had fun being a guest designer for the
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The Design Team was welcoming and
so sweet to me! This is my closing project and I look forward to
participating in future challenges!

For my Exploring Cricut and More Sunday Project keep scrolling or click HERE !

Today I have a card I made with my Imagine machine.  I used
my Enjoy the Seasons cartridge. I've had my eye on this little
bunny in the balloon for a longtime. I finally made a couple things with it!

I used an Ivory A2 card and all the papers are printed with my Imagine.
The balloon and cloud was cut at 4.25". I embellished with tiny pearls
and bronze colored rhinestones.

I made a matching tag as well using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.
I haven't really made a lot of tags but hope to have a nice stash of them
eventually for the future. I also used twine and a button. I cut a scalloped
rectangle with the polka dot paper for the inside layer.

I just love this little bitty bunny!

I think like how this turned out. The colors make it so that it
can be for a guy or girl.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my project! I will

Exploring Cricut and More Paper Pups Thank You Card

Good morning and happy Sunday! Today I have a thank you card I made
for a special friend. I paper pieced several of these quilted patterns
using scraps from a K & Company paper pack  while back and never got
around to making cards with them.  I started by punching out a bunch of
squares  and gluing them side by side. Using the center point feature on my
Cricut I cut out the top note shape. I then ran them through my Cuttlebug.

I was so happy to get my Paper Pups cartridge when Cricut brought it back
from retirement.  I just love this cartridge! I cut the pup out at 2.0", I added
some brown pearls for her eyes, and used glossy accents for the nose. I tied
a ribbon around the bone and added buttons!

I hand cut the banner and stamped it with my Jaded Blossom Stamps.
The pup on the inside is cut at 1.75" and I used a little butterfly sticker.
The inside sentiment is also from Jaded Blossom Stamps.

I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for stopping by and visiting today!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge- Day At The Beach

Hello my crafty friends! Today I am so happy to be a Guest Designer for the:

To see my Design Team project for Exploring Cricut and More
"Crafter's Choice" Challenge keep scrolling or click here!

I am so excited to craft alongside with some of my favorite bloggers!
Here is the card I made for today's "Day at the Beach" Challenge and
I used several Cricut Cartridges to put it together.

For the card base I used white card stock and the Art Philosophy Cartridge
and cut it at 5.25".  The card layers were cut at 5.0" and 4.75".
The card stock is from DCWV- Fun in the Sun Glitter stacks and papers.
I used Life's A Beach  to cut the chair at 2.75", the umbrella at 3.75",
and the beach ball at 1.0". I hand cut the sand layer with
some sparkly textured card stock.

The Bear is from the Animal Antics Cartridge. I cut him out at 2.75".
On the cartridge he has a fishing pole but I gave him some lemonade instead.
I got his cut from the Just Because Cartridge and cut it at 1.0".
I added a little pink tongue! The sentiment is from the Craftin' Desert Diva's.

I decided to decorate the inside so I cut some more layers
and added the sun from Create A Critter. I inked and stickled to add
bling and some depth.  Thanks for coming by to visit and I hope you
enjoyed my project. Don't forget to stop by The Fantabulous Cricut
Challenge Blog and see all the wonderful creations and join in on the fun!

Exploring Cricut and More Crafter's Choice Challenge

Happy Monday everyone! Today there is a new challenge at:

I am so happy to be a part of such a wonderful design team
at the Exploring Cricut and More blog. I just love all the Cricut
and SVG projects made by these wonderfully talented ladies!
Today's challenge is "Crafter's Choice" using at least 2 diecuts! I made
this card using my very first SVG cut! This adorable penguin was a freebie
at Designs On Cloud 9. I just think he is so darned cute!!! I have had
the SCAL 2 software forever but was intimidated by it. I decided to
give it a try and it worked like a charm! I am in love with so many of
these adorable SVG's I see on everyone's blogs and now I can partake
in the fun, yippee!

I made this card a couple weeks ago. I used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge
for this scalloped circle card. I cut it at 5.25". I decided to make it an easel card.
The circle layers are cut at 5.0" and 4.75". The banner was cut at .75"
and stamped using the Craftin' Desert Diva's stamps. The top note layers were
cut at 2.0" and 1.75".

I used some enamel brads to decorate the banner and glittery cardstock
for the glasses, beak, and feet. I used some silvery mirror card stock
for the lenses. I am so excited about this card and my first SVG cut! I am
already working on other projects and can't wait to share them with you!
Thanks for visiting and don't forget to check out all the projects
at Exploring Cricut and More. Hope you can join in on the challenge!

Exploring Cricut & More - Sunshine Smiles & Critters

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a Happy 4th of July. I'm so excited!
This is my first post as a Design Team Member for
Exploring Cricut and More Yay!

Today I have a 5" x 7" card I made, using 4 Cricut Cartridges that I would
like to share with you. This summer themed card was so much fun to make.
It features 2 of my favorite critters from the Create A Critter Cartridge.

Using Create A Critter I cut the kitty out at 2.5", the mouse at 1.75", the clouds at 1.0" & 1.25", the sun at 1.25", and the beach ball on the inside at 1.5". I wanted to dress them up for swimming so I cut the goggles (2.75") and ducky innertube (2.75") from the Teddy Bear Parade Cartridge. The innertube for the mouse (.25") came from the Pack Your Bags Cartridge.

I added plastic from my Cricut cartridge outer cases to the inside of the goggles. I cut the sign out using the Cricut Campout cartridge and craft and black cardstock. All the papers are from DCWV.  The Sunshine Smiles stamp is from Craftin Desert Diva's Stamps.

I hand cut the ground with a textured sandy colored cardstock. It has clear sparkles giving it just the right look. I inked everything up and layered some of the cuts with foam tape. I left it blank inside so I could decide the occasion later.

I love this cute & summery fun card! I hope you all are having some summer fun too! Be sure to check out the daily projects and biweekly challenges at Exploring Cricut & More !

I will participate in the following challenges:
