Pink & Black Pocket Letter

Hi friends! Sorry I have been away for so long. My family lost someone so dear to us and it has been a rough few weeks. I needed a distraction so I am popping in to share this pocket letter I made for a new friend that I met at the Pocket Letter Pals Valley Girl Meet Up last month. She likes pink, black, bling, butterflies, coffee, and her spotted pit bull mix pup. So I used all that info to put this together.

For the tag I used the Indie Art cartridge for the butterfly and made the wings pop up. The top row I used a card with the roses cut from the Artfully Sent cartridge. I stamped it with a sentiment from the CDD Blooming For You stamps. I got the purses from Paisley and the Formal Occasions cartridges. I added some bling and used the CDD Pocket Pieces Hi Dies for most of the stitched rectangles in my PL. The hello with the butterfly is from the Lyrical Letters cartridge. I used glitter cardstock for the pink and the white and added mini pearls to the butterfly.

The center row I used the Artfully Sent cartridge for the beautiful cutout. The butterfly and sequins are from Craftin Desert Divas. The center pocket is sooooo sparkly I wish it showed up better in the photos. I used all glitter cardstock from DCWV and the Monogram is from the Art Philosophy cartridge. The sparkle cutout is from the Disney Tinkerbell & Friends cartridge.

The bottom row is my favorite. I used this cute pup from the Animal Kingdom cartridge and colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers to look like her pup. I added brown pearls for his eyes and stamped the sentiment & paw using the CDD Animal Antics stamps. I made the center shaker with the cut from the Wild Card cartridge. The letter inside the shaker is from the Sweethearts cartridge.  And finally the pup with the thought cloud and bone I also colored with my Spectrum Noirs, I made using a die set from My Creative Time.

For the back I made a bunny card to tuck my letter into with the Sugar and Spice cartridge.  I filled the pockets with paperclips I made with the Love You A Latte cartridge, some prima flowers, die cuts from Craftin Desert Divas, twine and some stickers.

Here is a close up of the sparkly clips I made.

Bundle of Joy

Hello friends!  Today I have a baby shower shaker card to share. I used the adorable giraffe from the So Long mini stamp. I made a tutorial for those of you who asked me lots of questions on facebook on how I made the zebra baby shower card. This card is another version of the one I made for the last Craftin Desert Diva's stamp release.

The sentiment is from one of the baby sets called Snips & Snails.
There are so many great sentiments in that stamp set.

I filled the shaker with a mixture of  Mermaid Lagoon and Emerald Isle sequins.
I embellished with some burlap and buttons.

Here are all the CDD products I used:

Time to Snail-abrate Easel Card

Hello friends! I hope you are all having a fabulous week!
Today I have an easel card to share.

I used the card base from my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and the snail is from Create A Critter. I cut a scalloped circle and embossed it with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The papers are from DCWV. The adorable snail border is from the Walk In My Garden cartridge. I changed the flower on the snail to turn it into a shaker. Isn't she cute?!

The adorable ribbon is from my stash and I added buttons and twine to the snail border. And finally I added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella pen. The fun sentiment is from the Craftin Desert Diva's  Lil Bit Buggie stamp set.

There are some wonderful sentiments in this set!
You can see this and much more at the CDD shop HERE.

Happy 4th Birthday to the Exploring Cricut and More Blog!

Hey guys! This week we are celebrating Exploring Cricut and More's 4th Birthday!! Diane has asked me to share a birthday project and so I have a cute little puppy card. I used a TCBJ file called Cupcake Dog. Isn't she cute!

This is a 5 inch rounded square card that I cut from my CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I stepped out of my comfort zone using several different patterns. I wanted it to be happy and festive and hopefully not too busy.  The papers are from MME Hootenanny. I love this paper. I used a corrugated DCWV stack for the cupcake wrapper.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva's Happy Celebrations. I added some polka dot ribbon and bling to the tag and cupcake. There is a shimmer on the hat that is a little hard to see where I used my Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you enjoyed my birthday card!  Make sure you head over to Exploring Cricut and More to see more fabulous projects! Also Diane is having a fun Birthday challenge where you can link up and win some fun prizes.

I used one of the bears and this sentiment from the new release Witch Crossing stamp set. This is definitely one of my faves!

I love coloring these bears! I attached the bear to the moon and the moon to a rosette. I then added a sparkly little bat and some fun ribbon. The pillow box is from my CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. The rosette is from my CTMH Artiste cartridge. The glittery paper is a DCWV Halloween stack from my stash and the ribbon I got from Michaels.

Missing You Card using Sweet Baby Bunny SVG

Hello to you all! Hope you are surviving the "Back to School" madness! We survived our first week, yay, and are ready for the second :) It is so strange starting school in summer because I grew up with a traditional schedule and I tend to associate school with the Fall season. I love the Fall, it is my favorite time of the year!  I love Autumn colors the weather, and the changing of the leaves. Today I have a project with 2 of my favorite things... Fall colors and a bunny!

I used both the Sweet Baby Bunny SVG, and Fall Leaves from SVG Cutting Files. How cute is this bunny?!! My card base is cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge at 4.75". The papers are from the DCWV Fall Glitter Mat Stack. The white doily cut is from Elegant edges and is cut at 4.0". The tag and stamp is from MCT Teeny Tags Greetings. I ran the brown leaves through my cuttlebug and used my Wink of Stella pen to draw lines on the red and orange leaves.

I finished up with some buttons, gingham ribbon, and brown and white twine. Did I mention how much I love this sweet baby bunny? It is so stinkin' cute! I hope you like my project and thanks so much for stopping by.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!

Lady and the Tramp Anniversary Card

Hello my crafty friends and Happy Thursday to you! For today's project I have a card I made for my sweet husband. On August 1st we celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary! My how time just flies. It seems like yesterday that we were starving students building a dream. We were both in college, me finishing my undergrad degree and he in his 2nd year at UC Davis Veterinary School of Medicine.  Our wedding theme as unusual as it may seem was Lady & the Tramp. We had a very unconventional wedding. It was outside in beautiful Malibu, California, on my cousin's ranch. My dog even walked with me up the aisle, lol (it was not planned, it just happened).  And now 16 wonderful years later, some things haven't changed... we are happy and blessed and I still have a sheltie at my heels :)
Here is my card...

I got this svg from SVG Cutting Files "Couples Blog Hop". It was my first blog hop and I was blown away with how amazing these SVG's that Ann makes are. Those ladies on the DT are amazing and in a class all their own when it comes to crafting. Needless to say I knew I would be using this particular cut!

Now, keep in mind I am pretty new to the SVG world and I still cut them on my Cricut with the SCAL2. This SVG was very challenging for me but I think I pulled it off! I fussed with it a lot to get it the way I wanted and even added a few layers that were not in the original SVG. I used Valentine patterned card stock  from Recollections to really play on the "love" theme. The hearts and sentiment layers were cut from my Art Philosophy Cartridge. I used a few sentiment stamps and wrote the Lady and the Tramp by hand. I wish I had nicer writing!! The stamps are from Craftin Desert Divas, Docerela Stamps and My Pink Stamper. Of course, I needed to add some bling so I used some red heart shaped rhinestones.

My hubbie loved his card and we had a wonderful Anniversary weekend away in Las Vegas! Here are a few pics from our wedding. My sister decorated these figurines for our cake. I keep them in my curio.

Our wedding cake toppers!

My Sheltie Sunny was next to us as we said our vows!

Thanks for stopping in and visiting!

Sympathy Card using Paper Pups

Hello my crafty friends! I am so excited to be a Guest Diva for Die Cuttin' Diva's, one of my favorite blogs!! With such a talented and inspirational Design Team I feel honored to be a part of this weeks challenge. The theme is Anything Goes and I am sharing a card I made for a dear friend. She just lost her dog to cancer and of course it has been a rough time for her and her family. I made her this card to try and cheer her up.

This pup is from my Paper Pups cartridge and I cut him at 4.0".  Her dog was a big cutie and looked very similar to this one. I used some black pearls for his eyes and glossy accents for his nose. I added the red tongue instead of leaving it brown.  The papers are from the DCWV Pet Stack. I cut the shaped card using my Art Philosophy cartridge at 5.25".

I used 2 different stamp sets for the sentiments.  "Always in our hearts" is from My Pink Stamper and the inside sentiment is from My Creative Time Stamps.  I fussy cut some hearts and added them to the front and inside.

Be sure to checkout all the fabulous projects made by the DT team and link up your own project to the Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge Blog!
