Pink & Black Pocket Letter

Hi friends! Sorry I have been away for so long. My family lost someone so dear to us and it has been a rough few weeks. I needed a distraction so I am popping in to share this pocket letter I made for a new friend that I met at the Pocket Letter Pals Valley Girl Meet Up last month. She likes pink, black, bling, butterflies, coffee, and her spotted pit bull mix pup. So I used all that info to put this together.

For the tag I used the Indie Art cartridge for the butterfly and made the wings pop up. The top row I used a card with the roses cut from the Artfully Sent cartridge. I stamped it with a sentiment from the CDD Blooming For You stamps. I got the purses from Paisley and the Formal Occasions cartridges. I added some bling and used the CDD Pocket Pieces Hi Dies for most of the stitched rectangles in my PL. The hello with the butterfly is from the Lyrical Letters cartridge. I used glitter cardstock for the pink and the white and added mini pearls to the butterfly. 

The center row I used the Artfully Sent cartridge for the beautiful cutout. The butterfly and sequins are from Craftin Desert Divas. The center pocket is sooooo sparkly I wish it showed up better in the photos. I used all glitter cardstock from DCWV and the Monogram is from the Art Philosophy cartridge. The sparkle cutout is from the Disney Tinkerbell & Friends cartridge.

The bottom row is my favorite. I used this cute pup from the Animal Kingdom cartridge and colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers to look like her pup. I added brown pearls for his eyes and stamped the sentiment & paw using the CDD Animal Antics stamps. I made the center shaker with the cut from the Wild Card cartridge. The letter inside the shaker is from the Sweethearts cartridge.  And finally the pup with the thought cloud and bone I also colored with my Spectrum Noirs, I made using a die set from My Creative Time.

For the back I made a bunny card to tuck my letter into with the Sugar and Spice cartridge.  I filled the pockets with paperclips I made with the Love You A Latte cartridge, some prima flowers, die cuts from Craftin Desert Divas, twine and some stickers.

Now on to my projects. I have a couple things to share today.

First I made a shaker note card set and a matching box.  It is very similar to Valentine's card I made but changed it up a bit for everyday. I used the Cricut Wild Card Cartridge for the circle cut out. The scallop box is from the Box It Up Cartridge. I used the bees from the Sending Love stamp set. The ribbon is from American Crafts. I added some Wink Of Stella over the scallop frame to add some sparkle.

I used a sentiment from the CDD Just Pigcause set. I taped off the pig and added the bee. I love that little bee!!! The tag is from the Tag It set and I used the SVG that comes with it.

My next card is a simple masculine birthday card. I struggle with masculine designs and I'm working on getting some cards for guys in my stash that are not cutesy.

CDD Love Theme Week

Hello everyone!  I have a couple projects to share with you today for this weeks Love theme at the Craftin Desert Diva's blog. I made this heart framed easel card for my son and I used 3 different stamp sets. We always joke back and forth about who loves who more and this sentiment from Simply Said was perfect.

 I stamped it on a tag from the Short and Sweet Tags set. The little envelope is a stamp from Sending Love. The paper is from American Crafts. The card base is a die cut from the ever so talented Birdscards.com. The sheltie is an SVG I made myself using an image that I found and altered to look like my dog Bruno.

For the inside I used this sentiment from Sending Love. Here are close ups of the sentiments.

I also made a shaker card using the bee stamps from Sending Love. This is the first shaker card I've ever made and it is for my sister who bought me the sequins.

The paper is Humble Honeybee by American Crafts. The card base is from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge.  I ran into a little problem with static and the flat confetti. I'm going to order an anti-static pad that I read about to help with my future shaker cards.  I taped off this sentiment to stretch it out on this hand cut banner and replaced the word bee with the actual bee stamp. I love that little bee! This is one of my favorite stamp sets!!

Here is the project I created....

I made a masculine Valentine's Day card for my hubby. He loves The Nightmare Before Christmas and I chose this silhouette of Jack and Sally from Krafty Nook and added a shimmery heart from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge for the moon. I love this sentiment and it goes so well with the image. 

The card base is a dark purple pearl card stock cut to make a 5"x7" card. I added a layer of paper from the DCWV Once Upon A Time stack. The heart moon is cut from a glitter stack. This pic captures the shimmer.

Cute Christmas Bird Gift Shaped Card

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend!! Today is my day to post on the Craftin Desert Diva's blog and I have a sparkly gift shaped Christmas card to share. 

I used the Cricut Wild Card cartridge for this shaped card. It is cut at about 7.25". For the ribbon I used some sparkly white card stock from Martha Stewart and the candy cane paper is from a MAMBI sheets Christmas stack. I can't find the name on it but it has the CUTEST papers!

The little bird is from the Too Cute By Jessica Cute Christmas Birds file. I cut her out at about 2.75". Oh my goodness I love this file! I love birds almost as much as I love bunnies!! I have been dying to use the Variety Face Assortment stamps from Peachy Keen just for this birdie face! I added little tiny pearls and sparkle to her scarf. I used metallic markers for the design on the ornament and added a gold bow. I also added sparkly red to her wings and the Wink of Luna sparkle to the white on her Santa Hat. 

For the sentiment I used the CDD Simply Christmas stamp set. This stamp set is one of my favorites and is simply a must have for all your holiday projects.  Here is a close up of the sentiment I used.  I love that festive font!
