Just Bee-cause Bee Card and Tag

Hello friends! I have a card and tag set to share today. I challenged myself to try something new so I went for a distressed/grunge-ish-type of mixed media look. I usually like colorful and cute but these bees were calling me into a different direction....

I made a 5.5"x 5"5 inch square card. I used a couple bees from Jessica Lynn Original stamps that I colored up a while back. It is the digi version of her Big Fat Bee Stamp. I used both Copics (for the black) and Spectrum Noir markers (for the yellows). I added some Wink of Stella to the wings to give them a bit of sparkle.  The paper is from BoBunny and is called Trail Mix Hollow. 

I distressed the edges of the paper and charcoal cardstock layers. I also used Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The honeycomb is an altered cut I made using my Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge in DS. I inked the around the  edges and then I painted it with the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Gold. I love that stuff! I bought the palette  a while back and was happy to open it up and give it a try. I felt like it needed something more so I added the black rafia bow. I thought about adding bling but I decided to let the bee and sparkly honeycomb be the focus.

Here is the inside. Both sentiments are from the Pink By Design Honey Pie set. 

The medallion on the front is from Gina Marie Dies and I added metallic gold  Wink of Luna around the edges and distressed it with the walnut stain as well. 

I used the Gina Marie Dropped Pennant dies to make my tag. I decorated it similarly to the card and added a raffia tie.

Craftin Desert Divas Sneak Peeks Day 2

Here is what I made using the new Bunny Trail stamps:

I made an Easter swing card featuring this cutie pie hatchling. The card base is from my Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge and I cut it out at 6 inches high.

The stitched scallop circle is from the CDD Stiched In Circle Dies. 

I used the small stitched rectangle die from the Banner Dies.

Pink & Black Pocket Letter

Hi friends! Sorry I have been away for so long. My family lost someone so dear to us and it has been a rough few weeks. I needed a distraction so I am popping in to share this pocket letter I made for a new friend that I met at the Pocket Letter Pals Valley Girl Meet Up last month. She likes pink, black, bling, butterflies, coffee, and her spotted pit bull mix pup. So I used all that info to put this together.

For the tag I used the Indie Art cartridge for the butterfly and made the wings pop up. The top row I used a card with the roses cut from the Artfully Sent cartridge. I stamped it with a sentiment from the CDD Blooming For You stamps. I got the purses from Paisley and the Formal Occasions cartridges. I added some bling and used the CDD Pocket Pieces Hi Dies for most of the stitched rectangles in my PL. The hello with the butterfly is from the Lyrical Letters cartridge. I used glitter cardstock for the pink and the white and added mini pearls to the butterfly. 

The center row I used the Artfully Sent cartridge for the beautiful cutout. The butterfly and sequins are from Craftin Desert Divas. The center pocket is sooooo sparkly I wish it showed up better in the photos. I used all glitter cardstock from DCWV and the Monogram is from the Art Philosophy cartridge. The sparkle cutout is from the Disney Tinkerbell & Friends cartridge.

The bottom row is my favorite. I used this cute pup from the Animal Kingdom cartridge and colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers to look like her pup. I added brown pearls for his eyes and stamped the sentiment & paw using the CDD Animal Antics stamps. I made the center shaker with the cut from the Wild Card cartridge. The letter inside the shaker is from the Sweethearts cartridge.  And finally the pup with the thought cloud and bone I also colored with my Spectrum Noirs, I made using a die set from My Creative Time.

For the back I made a bunny card to tuck my letter into with the Sugar and Spice cartridge.  I filled the pockets with paperclips I made with the Love You A Latte cartridge, some prima flowers, die cuts from Craftin Desert Divas, twine and some stickers.

You're Deer To Me Swing Card

Hello everyone! Today I have a card that I am sharing on the Craftin Desert Diva's blog.  I made a swing card featuring the adorable little deer from one of my favorite CDD stamp sets called Deer Friends. 

I colored this image using water color pencils and distress inks. The clouds and sun are from The Sky Is The Limit Stamps and Dies. I just love how this style of card just flips open and the circle swings out so you can write your sentiment on the inside. This card base is from my Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge. It's such a happy little card and I hope it will brighten someone's day.

This punny sentiment fit this card perfectly. I finally embellished with my favorite Butterfly Wishes sequins.

Here is what I made...

I made my hubby a card featuring the little animals from Fur-ever Friends. I colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers. The cardstock I used is blue metallic on one side and black on the other. This card base is from my Cricut CTMH Artfully Sent cartridge. I love this trifold card! 

Here is how it looks laying flat.

I used the little stitched rectangle from the CDD Tag Essentials Dies to stamp this sentiment from the Animal Antics set.

I love these adorable little critters!

On the backside of my card I stamped Happy Father's day from the Happy Celebrations set. I also used the paw prints from Animal Antics.

Here is my project for this party:

I used my new CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge to create this winter scene card. The snowflake paper is from Mambi Sheets. 

The sentiment stamps are both from the Craftin Desert Diva's Simply Christmas set. I cut additional layers of different card stock and sized them on my Explore for all the animal layers and branch. The snow on the branch and ground is made with Polar White Flower Soft and some Stickles. I also used Stickles all around the card for a glistening snow effect.  

The card is a tri-fold and looks like this when opened. I used the Merry Christmas sentiment for the inside.

I added a little pom pom for the bunny tail!
