Bumblebee Note Cards

Hello friends!  Happy hump day!! I love Wednesdays! It is a day that I get a few hours to craft! Today I have a couple shaped cards I made that I am also sharing on the CDD blog.

I made a pair of hexagon shaped cards with a bumble theme. I embossed them both with a honeycomb embossing folder. The first card features the adorable bees from the Sending Love stamp set. I stamped the "thanks" sentiment from the Short & Sweet Tags set inside the flutter heart. I also used the stitched oval die from the CDD Banner dies.

For the second card I used this cutie pie bee and a sentiment from the Just Bugcause stamps. I glittered up the wings and finally added some bows I made with some lovely crinkle ribbon from Karen at the Little Scrap Pieces blog . Did I tell you how much I love these bees?

Here is what I made...

I made a shaker card! For this card I wanted to use the new scissor shaped Cut It Up sequins and so I thought of doing a sewing themed card. The floral double sided paper was from my stash. I stamped the edges of this layer with the zig zag stitch stamp from the Sew Raggedy stamp set. For the shaker I made a pouch with acetate so that I could adhere it to the side of the card. 

The scissors is a cut from the Cricut Nate's ABC's cartridge. The sentiment if from the CDD Just for Mom stamp set. I stamped it on half an oval from the CDD Banner Dies.

For the inside of the card I stamped Happy Mother's Day from the Happy Celebrations stamp set. I also stamped a sentiment from Sew Raggedy on the little heart. I added a couple tiny scissors and I was done.

Music Shaker Card with CDD Pitch Perfect Sequins

Hello friends! Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am! (Phew! It has been a busy week!) I have some exciting news! Craftin Desert Diva's has added some new sequins in the shop!!That's right! I just can't tell you enough how much I LOVE these shaped sequins. I've been on a shaker card kick lately and these are so perfect for adding excitement and fun to my cards! Here is what I made with the new sequins....

I designed a shaker card and used the new Pitch Perfect music note sequins.  I teach music so they are a must have for me! I decided to do some more water coloring for the background.  First I designed the top layer with the treble clef and notes. I painted some rainbows for the window. I added a lavender layer and ribbon.

I really tried to do a clean and simple look but it seemed too boring, lol! So I added some paint splatter to livin it up a bit. I used these two sentiment stamps from the CDD Say It Big stamp set.

And finally I added a few sequins and music notes...

I love how these shakers look. I guess I am not a CAS kinda gal, lol! But at least I've been expanding my crafting style and actually making projects without cute animals, lol!

For my first project I made this fun shaker card using the Just Bugcause

 Bee stamp.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets to work with! 

I love having the dies!

I love this sentiment for a Thank You card!!

Next I made this shaker card using the Just For Mom set and the 

CDD Banner dies. I like the versatility of the sentiments.

  I taped off to stretch out this sentiment.  This is a perfect card for 

Grandma to cover any occasion.

Here is my project that I've created for you...

I made a card using this sweet little girl image. The labels are an svg from Designs On Cloud 9. The outside sentiment is from the CDD Happy Celebrations stamps set. I taped off to have it stretch along my hand cut banner. I embossed the pink scallop layer with my Cuttlebug.

I added this cute polka dot ribbon that coordinated with my Spectrum Noir markers. For the inside of the card I used these adorable flowers and wonderful new sentiment.

Today we are showcasing the Just Bugcause Stamps and Dies!

Here are my projects that I've created for you...

First I have a card I made using the new CDD Banner Dies and this cutie pie snail and flower stamp. The papers are from K & Company. I used a flower embossing folder that came with my Cuttlebug to add some dimension. I used eyelets and added some gauzy ribbon and some Skittles.

I thought this sentiment describes me sometimes when it comes to finishing the many projects I want to make... It is perfect for when I'm late getting my cards out, lol!

My next project is a little tag I made using this bee! I used the CDD small banner die and just added this scallop circle with the bee stamped on it. 

This was so easy and I hope to get more done because I rarely have tags ready for my gifts. And the small banner die makes it super quick! I did use a Fiskars texture plate to emboss the hexagons. The ribbon and burlap bow was in my stash.  I hand cut the tiny banner and stamped it with this cute sentiment.
