Hi everyone! Today is Day 2 of the reveals for the Newton's Nook Designs April 2021 release!! I am so excited to share the stamp and coordinating die we are featuring today and the project I created!
First I stamped, embossed and colored up these adorable kittens from the new Captivated Kittens stamp and cut them out using the coordinating dies.
Next I cut out the scalloped layer from the Frames and Flags Die and ink blended the background using Distress Inks. I also cut out the grass using the Land Borders Die. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and added the little butterfly from yesterday's reveal Gnome Garden.
Copic Colors:
Gray Kitty- N5, N3, N1, N0, RV00, E01, R30, R81
Orange Kitty- E97, YR12, YR00, YR0000, RV00, E30, E01
Butterflies- V15, V12, V01, V000, Y21, Y00, Y0000, R83, R81, RV00, E41
All new products will be available on Friday, April 23rd.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love your style! I have just found Newton's corner and have enjoyed your work so much. I am in love with the dogs in the slimline with the 3 frames. In your descriptions you say you stamp, emboss and then color your little guys... what does that mean? Sorry, I'm probably over thinking it!?! lol I'm also new to this. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work and for any info you can send my way.
ReplyDeleteHi Penny! Thanks so much for the sweet comment! I like to heat emboss my images using Versafine Ink and clear embossing powder to really make them pop and give them a bit of dimension. It's not ideal for Copic coloring but I have no problems at all with this technique and it is my preferred method of coloring. I hope that answers your question. Welcome to the stamping and coloring hobby!! I hope you have fun!!
DeleteThanks so much, Tina! I am going to give that a try and see how I do. This is a whole new world to me. I've looked at some of the really close ups of your work and would not have known. They are all so beautiful! Thanks again!
